When Should Puppies Lose Their Teeth

By the time your dog is about 6 months old he or she should have all 48 adult teeth. By the time a dog is 7 or 8 months old they should have all of their permanent teeth a total of 42 adult teeth in all. All of the 28 baby teeth should be present and in place by around eight weeks of age. The adult teeth of the dog total 42 individual teeth and the baby teeth must first be lost in order to make room for these in the mouth.
By the age of 7 8 months your puppy should have grown all of their adult teeth if their not all there yet try not to worry too much. This part of the puppy teething process is actually the second teething stage.
